Load up with the necessities and go nomad or head for the hills and pick your lines as you prey on the weekend XC brigade. The Vulture is a vicious mix of fat tyre trailblazer, gravel monster and distance devouring adventure machine. Lightweight and smooth rolling 3AL/2.5V titanium will conquer those steep off-road climbs whilst confident handling means you’ll enjoy the switchbacks on the way down. We tamed the Vulture just enough that it’ll work with big tyres and play nice with gravel drivechains. You could even build it up ultra-light and race the thing. The Vulture is a versatile beast.

Enter the Vulture Titanium, the next chapter in the Fearless Vulture story and it’s a gravel bike that’s about as capable as a gravel bike can be. A rethinking of the original template and built for longest of epics over the roughest of terrains. We went all out to design the maximum performance we could get from a gravel bike by pairing the well-documented qualities of titanium with cutting edge gravel geometry and monster clearances to give riders the widest choice of tyre & drivechain possibilities and thus tailor the Vulture Ti to their riding style.

A 68mm bottom bracket and 142mm rear spacing plus big tyre clearances mean lots of options; smooth rolling 29×2.2” or 27.5×2.4” at low pressures for absolute traction & control or even standard gravel tyres with ultimate mud clearance. There’s routing for 1x or 2x mechanical and Di2 as well.

Applying some contemporary adventure bike thinking the Vulture Titanium has a longer wheelbase than Fearless’ previous offerings adding some off-road & luggage hauling stability whilst giving the clearances required for big tyres.  The front end is slightly slacker giving assured handling over steep and technical terrain whist agile enough for the paved sections. The optional fork has adjustable offset which are useful for tuning the trail when equipped with standard gravel & all-road tyres. We’ve taken full advantage of the recent developments in wide chainline gravel drivechain tech so the Vulture Ti can fit a 29×2.2″ along with Shimano GRX or Sram Wide 1x.

The top tube and rider compartment is a little shorter than previous Fearless offerings and the seat tube is designed around a standard road offset seat post. Whilst balancing out the slacker head angle and longer rear end this also gives a better fit for a wider variety of torso lengths with a slightly more upright riding position.

There’s also increased standover clearance to better match the larger wheel radius  when running bigger tyres.

Both the frame and fork have stealthy inboard mudguard mounts, a design touch carried over from the Warlock and the frame comes with rear carrier mounts for touring applications. The optional fork is equipped with 2x sets of cargo cage mounts and internal routing for a dynamo.

The Vulture Ti is available in 5 sizes ranging from 49cm up to 58cm and comes in a brushed Ti finish with low key sandblasted logo and a debossed Fearless head badge machined into the headtube. Classy, understated and about as stealthy as a Ti frame can be.

Tech Notes

If you’re calculating what components you’ll need to build up your Vulture Ti or need to know what parts you already own will work then it’s worth reading this section. Some standard restrictions apply.

The Vulture Ti’s headtube is a 42/52 integrated type which allows for toolless headset cup installation- no press fitting of bearing cups is required; just drop the bearings into the frame and the headset compression rings hold everything in place; an added bonus for home mechanics among us. Please read on for recommended headsets.

One of the benefits of using a lighter frame material was allowing the use of a plate on drive side chainstay without adding excessive weight. This gives enough space to fit a 29×2.2” tyre and still have clearance for a 44T front chainring. The Di2 routing has two small slots milled into the drive-side chainstay for zip ties to secure the rear derailleur’s Di2 wire closely to the frame and has the standard ports ready for 6mm circular Shimano Di2 grommets in the chainstay and seat tube.

The optional fork being a lightweight 0.5kg carbon type has a cargo weight restriction of 3kg per side/blade.

We opted for the standard 3 pairs of bottle bosses on the frame rather than the cargo cage mount on the down tube like the Warlock. Few if any owners were making use of it, just using the lower 2 bolts for attaching a standard water bottle combined with frame bag which actually yields more luggage capacity overall.

Headset compatibility

For a tapered steerer carbon gravel fork the Vulture Ti needs a IS42/28.6 top cup and a IS52/40 lower cup.
